Are epilators worth the ££££

Good ones seem to be expensive, is it worth the investment for legs and bikini line. Never used one - does it take a long time and is it easy to do.

Thanks

No most definitely not. I bought one years ago and then a 'modern' one recently. They leave you with a shockingq amount of ingrown hairs no matter how much you exfoliate.

The only thing that works for me is ipl, Phillips lumea. It has changed my life!!

Plus the pain of epilator on bikini line is intense. Brazilian is walk in park in comparison IMHO!

Kind of. I think a lot depends on hair growth and how bothered you are about the odd straggler.

I have one. It is quite good, but not the top of the range.

I use it on legs mainly. Try and leave 'em to grow for a couple of weeks then have a blitz. It hurts a little, thenkind of goes numb.

Also underarms are agonising. I had laser hair removal a few years aog, but the hairs hve started to regrow. So there aren't many, but the few there are makes my eyes water.

ditto for bikini line. You have to be very brave.

But on legs - it is good enough for me. My hairs are mostly quite fair so not obvious regrowth. Cannot be bothered shaving legs every day - it just isn't that important to me.

Nooooo my dh bought one for me a couple of years ago - the Braun silk-epil and it's been used once! The pain was unbearable I will stick to shaving or veet.

Agree with Pinkflipflop! I find a full-on nether wax hurts less than epilating! Would love to invest in a Lumea style thingy soonish.

No ! I bought one, a good one and I hated it...it didnt give anywhere near a close a shave as my gillette venus which I gradually went back to.

I love mine, you get used to it and it doesn't hurt much when you have.

How much is the IPL system?
