So I have rubbish short nails. They always break/are different lengths so as have two family weddings this yr, was thinking of getting nails done.
What do people recommend? What are the ones to avoid? All advice welcome :-)

Hello- It depends how short is short really. I'm a nail technician so i'd recommend a short set of sculpted extensions. Find a reputable salon that preferably uses Creative products. (imo the best products and strict training)Another one to look out for is NSI.They will last around 2-3 weeks and the technician can make them as short as you want. If you are used to having short nails I'd recommend getting fairly short ones as you don't want to end up like Edward Scissorhands.
Shellac is more like a long lasting polish that goes over your existing nails. It lasts around the same time but won't be as strong or extend the length.
The main thing with nail enhancements is how you get take them off. They should be soaked off in warm acetone in order to prevent any damage to your nails. Your nails will feel softer when they come off but should harden up in a few days.
Please don't go into a "walk off the street" place where there are loads of people in a row doing nails for £20 a set. Half the time they are using rubbish products and to save time on filing they use a drill on the natural nail plate which can damage the nail permanently.
