Is there a dress code for going to Wimbledon?

That's about it really - for the first time in years I have managed to get tickets to Wimbledon this year. Just wondering is there a style code - or is it dress for comfort?

anyone been recently - is it all shorts/trousers/jeans & top, or floaty dresses and hats?

TIA

No. I went a few times before I had DC's and jeans are fine. All the 'posh' kids were slouching about in jeans and sweatshirts looking as scruffy as you like.

I think you need to look smart if you are planning to go into one of the restaurants but if you just want to watch tennis and mainline Pimms Grin then casual stuff is the norm.

Ordinary stands or a hospitality box?

There's a real mix in the crowd. Personally I think blue jeans are a little to casual, but trousers or tailored shorts are fine. Dresses also fine. Hat is a good idea in case you are sitting in the sun, but it needs to be small fir the sake of those sitting behind you - as it's a sporty occasion baseball caps or visors are ok.

thanks, not just ordinary tickets (corporate wouldn't really be my thing) - I like Meglets idea, Pimms and watching tennis.
Casual it is then, just have to plan ahead based on the weather forecast - and maybe comfy sandals for walking.

Raincoat and fleece would seem the most sensible Grin

Yep, jeans and cagoule and a union jack.
