Hi all
Got a works do in three weeks time and in the eve there is a gala dinner. Now normally these things are fairly formal so I wear a cocktail dress. However this one is apparently "smart/ casual so no ripped jeans or shorts please."
I'm really stuck - want to wear a dress. Am 25, size 10 and a very girly girl. Please help!!

Wear a dress! It is better to be over dressed than under dressed, you'll make all the others wish they had made the effort as you'll be the one looking stunning! You could always wear a cardigan to "casual" your outfit - but now i'm starting to show my age!!!!)

A smart/casual gala? wtf?

Do you know anyone else who is going? could you ask them what they will be wearing?

I've been to quite a few "galas" where the dress code is relatively casual.
Wear a dress, even a cocktail dress, and you'll feel better. Some will be attenging in slacks and blazers though.
