Itchy, flaky scalp with small spots - shampoo?

I've had these little spots before (tiny little blistery/spots, which burst easy, with a tiny amount of white pus (yuck) and then scab over). They usually clear up quite quickly, but this time keep reappearing.

My scalp is also itchy & flaky - which I've not had before.

My hair is also starting to fall out and is getting thinner, but it has always been very thin, but since I gave birth nearly 8 months ago, and had a major blood transfusion, it has been thick - and has gone straight (and has always been very curly).

I asked in Boots at the pharmacy, intending to buy T-Gel, but was told that it wouldn't be any good, and to buy their own brand Expert Sensitive Scalp shampoo, conditioner & serum. It hasn't resolved the problem.

I'm really upset and want to dye my hair soon (the roots are getting ridiculous), but obviously can't with this going on.

Help?

See your GP.

T-Gel worked for DP when he had the same problem. Like with most things though, I think you need to use it for a couple of weeks before you'll see a difference. Maybe continue using the Boots stuff for a little longer (obviously don't know how long you have already been using it!)

Vosene is the thing that helps my spotty, flaky, greasy scalp the best. The salacylic acid exfoliates the scalp. But it can be drying so use lots of sensitive, silicone-free conditioner.
