Getting married - nail colour advice?

Getting married on Saturday for the 2nd time (for both of us). Am wearing an ivory/cream/gold detail long dress. What to do with my nails? I don't want French polish.... Either clear, pillar box red or a pale shimmery gold.... It's lovely to have such pathetic decisions to make but help me choose! My nails are short and neat (not talons). Having a small cream bouquet. V small wedding, 23 people in total, all family!

Clear I think, if you don't want a french. Why not have a natural nude colour like a french but without the white tips?

I would go for STUNNING or STARKERS by Leighton Denny - both lovely alternatives to clear varnish.

Pale shimmery gold. It's what I had on my wedding day and it looked lovely.

I second the nude colour. I got a gorgeous bourjois one the other day. It stays on really well and doesn't chip.

Essie does a very pretty nude called Here Comes The Bride. It's what I wore on my wedding day. Hope you have a wonderful day.

Chanel flamme rose is a lovely subtle pinky-nude. I wanted it for my wedding but didn't get around to buying it until after.

Thanks all - vote seems for a nude colour - maybe a pinky colour with a shot of gold?

I'd go for a pillar box red Smile

I love it when I see brides with a strong red or darker colour on nails.

A high shine gold foil would be amazing like OPI glitzerland.

I'm tempted to go red.... I'm totally indulging myself this time around - but on a small scale and red seems kind of opulent! Grin

Gosh 'silk' nail polish. Pinky-clear shine. Gorgeous.

Minstrelsaremarvellous · 21/06/2012 19:04

Is Gosh a brand - and what's silk??

OP posts:
valiumredhead · 21/06/2012 20:28

Yes it's brand in Superdrug - very good quality imo.

mamalovesmojitos · 21/06/2012 21:13

Sorry, yes it's a brand. I love it (not affiliated with them in any way!). Bright colours & great quality but cheaper than mac. Silk is a shade of their nail polish.

Minstrelsaremarvellous · 21/06/2012 22:15

Oooh will investigate tomorrow! Thanks all!

I did Chanel Rouge Noir! Got lots of compliments. Just looked a bit different to regular nude bridal nails.. Wink
