Nice flat shoes?

I don't wear flats. I'm usually one of those people whose comfy shoes are 4.5 inch wedges.

But I'm pregnant and have been wearing trainers and flip flops. Next week I graduate for my PhD and want to look good (obviously). I found a surprisingly decent dress in Matalan but am thinking it's worth spending more money on good flat(ish) shoes for not just this summer but next summer (and the next) because I'll be pushing a buggy.

My question is what kind of heel is realistic and are wedges an ok choice? I rather like these which in real terms have a 1.5 inch heel. They aren't all day shoes (those are the flip flops) but I need something for graduation, my party and various other events.

Or can you recommend me something else? I'm size 5/38 and my budget is £100.

How about these

They are lovely. They'll go beautifully with my dress AND I can wear them to client meetings.

Thank you so much!

Nude shoes with a decent heel are fine with the right dress, but if I saw someone wearing those I'd think they were orthopaedic shoes, sorry.

Urgh, now I think that as well.

I should be thanking you but Angry
