Any recommendations for an epilator?

Listened to a piece on Woman's Hour the other day and they said a 'good' epilator would cost 80 quid. Any recommendations? Or advice?!

I spent 80 quid or there abouts a couple of weeks ago on a wet & dry Braun one from boots. I've only used it the once, dry, and I didn't find it very painful - definitely less painful than waxing IMO. So far I really like it, although it is slower going than I thought and I have to go back over areas to get every hair. I do have quite a high pain threshold though....

Can't recommend a brand-the one I got was from QVC years ago. None of the fancy wet/dry or chill areas you can get now though Wink.

Pain-wise, it's tingly/prickly.
I use hot-wax on my armpits and bikini (I find hotwax 'opens' the hair follicle more) but I can't be bothered with the whole palaver of waxing my legs. The epilator takes longer and the results don't last as long.

I epilated my yet-like legs at the weekend. Use an exfoliante first, make sure the skin is dry, keep the skin taut, and work slowly.
Doddle !

Grin Bubbless

I have a high pain threshold so I'm optimistic...

Although it made me smile when the interviewee admitted she takes painkillers a half hour before she starts Wink
