My 2 dds aand I have fair eyelashes and are wondering about having them tinted for our summer holiday. Has anyone done this themselves or is it a job for a professional? TIA

I would definitely recommend having it done professionally, it can really sting if you get it in your eyes, I really recommend it, it makes a huge difference.

I always do it myself but if you've never done it before get it done in salon the first tme

I do both - more often than not will have a professional do my eyelashes (they seem to stay darker for longer) but do my eyebrows at home as I like to have greater control about the colour of them. First timers? I'd get it done professionally - but leave enough time before the holiday as most places will insist on a patch test to ensure your dds are not allergic to the dye (normally 24 hours prior to the treatment).

Thanks for this sound advice. Will contact local salon.

I've had it done, thinking of doing it again (hayfever = runny mascara) but I really do think it's a salon job TBH. You'll need a patch test 48 hours before, if the salon is reputable.

The first time I had it done was at a salon, then after that I used a home kit. The home kit was fine, just make sure you use lots of vaseline around your eyes. Its more fun at a salon though.
