Have spent hours a minute or so flitting between makeupalley and product websites and every time I think I've got it a reviewer chips in with "ho ho,not for the fainthearted oh no!"

I always come back to Mac Viva Glam V as it is a neutral pink. It does have a touch of shimmer, or as Mac call it "lustre". It doesn't look like a 1980s frosted lipstick. The lipglass in Viva Glam V is also lovely. Aaaaand, 100% of profits go to charidee.

Oh I am on just this quest!! I want sheer, glossy mauvy-pink. So far I'm liking Mac Syrup and Urban Decay Rush. Max Factor Rosewood also gets an honourable mention, but is more of a creamy formula- I'm into the sheer ones.

I also have Clinique almost lipstick in shy honey, which is really lovely, you should have a look at the chubby sticks too.

Thanks for all recommendations....I have bought an EL tester of pinkberry from ebay to try out before hitting the counters when back in the UK shortly.

I might have to have Noddy's Guerlain one as well. I also found another Guerlain one I love -Beatrix. And the Une ones. And the Body Shop ones.

(my excuse is I've had crappy peeling lips for about 3 yrs and have only just cured them and so am dipping my toes back in to lippy!
