Question about heels and blisters

Okay, I am a high heel fanatic. The ONLY reason I don't wear them everyday is I get really bad blisters. I did some Googling and there is so much conflicting information I thought I'd ask here. I always make sure I have the right size and wear heel grips. However depending on the source I was told to use talc to avoid moisture; or the complete opposite! To use runners lube on the back of my heels.

Anyone have any experience? Also trying to work out a way to soften the back of my heels without having to wear wet socks in winter everyday. (I have a LOT of heels Grin)

I was going to suggest gel pads in the heels - is that what heel grips are?
I've heard of rubbing candles or beeswax on leather shoes to soften the backs, I've not tried it though so don't know if it works!

Thanks for the tip, there seems to be a lot of different ways so I'll keep trying!

Yep the gel ones that never come off Grin

IIRC spraying your feet with deodorant helps.

Compeed plasters are fantastic.

What sort of deodorant? Seems the easiest option to try first!

Spray - it cuts down on the sweat therefore reduces friction.

IME it is impossible to soften the backs of shoes that dig into your heel. Either stop buying cheap shoes or get a half size up.

That breaking in stuff is all a load of rubbish, feet tend to break first or at least it feels like that. How is deodorant supposed to do anything about that either? What a strange suggestion.

I don't buy cheap shoes and I've had my feet properly measured. :)
