Does anyone have an exercise bike in front of the tv?

And if so do you use it or is it too noisy? I need to do some exercise but am supremely lazy and the only way i can think of making myself do anything is if i can exercise at home whilst watching tv.

No, but I've often thought of getting Wallace and Grommet to fix one up so the TV only worked if someone were putting the effort in Grin

I did last summer. i kept it in the garage and dragged it in every night and did about 40 mins on it. was fab lost loads of weight and did not need a baby sitter as could do it when kids were in bed

Yes I did this during the winter. Would watch a tv programme or flick between the music ( turned up load!) channels. Nothing like getting outside though. I did find I got hot thoygh so will definitely invest in a fan for the coming winter.

Excuse errors! Loud & though.

My mother does it. In a separate room in front of a DVD.

I'm borrowing my sisters roger black one. It's surprisingly quiet.

I don't do much on it though as its for recovery from a knee op, I can only just get my leg to go round!

DH has used it and I've only had to turn the volume up a little bit due to noise, and huffing and puffing!

PippiL · 16/06/2012 18:19

Oh and it makes the living room look a bugger though!

I have a Roger Black one and it is silent. My old one was rather noisy so I bought a wireless headset to wear while wtching TV. It did the trick.
