John Lewis price promise- how do you prove that things are cheaper elsewhere to get prices matched?

You tell them, they ring and check..simple as that. Internet doesn't count though

Yes, we just went in and told them. They actually price matched a TV and gave their normal 5yr guarantee when the other company only had a 2 year guarantee.
