Am heading to York in a week or two and am wondering what do mulberry outlets usually have? Are they worth a visit?

Def worth a visit. I have picked up some fab bargains.... But it just depends on whether what you are looking for is what they are trying to flog!

I recommend you go to the purse forum mulberry shopping board where they have threads where people both chat about outlets and post previous stock. You can get a really good idea of what to expect. However (and apologies for being a killjoy) I've genuinely had better bargains from mulberry.com and department stores at sale time than in the York outlet. The mulberry sale is rumoured to start today so keep an eye on the website. The experience of a trip to York outlet is nice though - they have universally lovely, helpful staff.

If I didn't have a black alexa I would have been very tempted by the black day bag which was half price in selfridges, flannels etc. Its very similar to the alexa but does have a LOT of gold hardware so might not be to everyone's taste.

Sorry I didnt tell you about any bargains. I did get a Mitzy hobo once for under £200 which was obviously v cheap for a mulberry bag if you had your heart set on one at minimum cost. However it was very purple and I ended up ebaying it for about what it had cost without ever having used it. If you like quirky colours etc you might strike lucky!

DD got a nude Bayswater from the Factory Shop in Shepton Mallett for around £500 - not sure how much of a bargain that is. Lovely though!
