Hair will not behave

I used to dy my hair myself. However it got darker and darker and ended up going to hairdresser who had to lighten it to get back to something like it's natural colur. These were semi-perms which became permanent Hmm, and were used to cover roots.

ANYWAY ever since lightening, it has really misbehaved. It was only lightened for about 5 mins.

It is fine, very thick and mainly straight. Sort of shoulder length and layered. However it has a really annoying wave which makes it stick out at one side and curl under at other. This used to be controlled by straightners, but now the flicky out side is a nightmare. It really flicks out all the time whatever I do. It looks frayedSad Sad, and I feel a mess all the time.

It is really really strong hair too, usually resists dye (apart from semi-permsAngry), bleach and heat styling.

Have resorted to straighteneing it all the time which makes no difference, using curling tongs Hmm and even sleeping in rollers on one side. SadGrinPlease help
