Sounds fab Annie great stuff!

I do love running. But with big music and a sprint at the end. I did it all through my twenties so I suppose you just do what feels the best. (and I want to look good for my birthday! Grin)

Although also did ballet for years when little and all that stretching and holding poses is great.

Bad for feet however.

Yy muscle memory. And endorphins.

Except I can't do the splits. Vg!

loobylu3 · 20/06/2012 12:09

Feeling v relaxed today as DD2 is at pre school until 3pm and the weather is beautiful!
Hopefully- I love the Balenciaga cashmere jumper and also the shape (and colour) of the Chloe bag.

NY- I had a little giggle at your DD's words too. They all do that sometimes to make you feel guilty!

I am being pretty boring on the spending front/ intending to be rather boring due to mat leave and several unexpected expenses.
I did order the Crumpet leopard scarf to try though and some red cherry jeans which I will attempt to squeeze into at some point!

Fortunately, the DC aren't going to need much in the sales just now. They will need some smart outfits for my sister's Autumn wedding though.
I am going to struggle to persuade my far too cool 9/10 year old into a dress. Any ideas for something smart but not pink/ floral/ excessively girly? She likes slim fitting jeans/ shorts/ simple tops and hoodies (which I hate and we fight about)!

MarshaBrady · 20/06/2012 12:12

*Looby loved that scarf.

hehe and thanks Annie

Hopefully I love the color of that Balenciaga bag. Are you still saving for one Bloss?

NY they have lovely forl up ballerinas in the sale at Massimo Dutti

Ds2 has quite the temper and we are only really getting to grips with it now. The approach that works is similar to the 123 magic idea. 3 strikes and you're out kind of thing. I'm a real softie and if any of mine are cross my instinct is to find out what's wrong and try to fix it. That works fine with 2 of my dc, but with ds2 it just makes matters worse. He needs to be told in no uncertain terms that aggressive behavior won't be tolerated, whatever the reason. Since we've started being really strict with him his behavior has improved dramatically. He's 12 now, and I wonder if we had taken that approach when he was younger if we would have saved ourselves a lot of trouble! I don't have the 123 Magic book, I've just read about it online, but wish I had known about it when mine were younger.

Annie great to hear the callenetics are paying off. I have found pilates really great for toning, some of the exercise seem similar. I cannot stand cardio, makes me feel like I'm going to die

MiM glad you had such a (well deserved) day off Smile

Pickled your job sounds right up your street Grin

VerityBrulee · 20/06/2012 12:33

Annie dd wore a really similar blazer and lace dress to a wedding recently!

Decameron really sorry to hear your dh is still doing such crazy hours. You must be really fed up. Hope the project is over soon. I thought of you at the weekend when we were at a family lunch. I met my cousins new girlfriend for the first time. Took an immediate liking to her as she had the AH maxi zip in stone We went here for lunch, it is beautiful and only just over an hour from town.

loobylu3 · 20/06/2012 12:39

Thank you annie- I love that dress as my style is more classic/ feminine than hers is at the moment. I will show her this evening anyway. Maybe I could compromise on a slightly swirly skirt with a simple top and a blazer. She loves her denim jacket so perhaps the Zara one might be okay!
You can tell that I have nothing special to do today- wedding is in October!!

blossoming · 20/06/2012 12:52

Still saving verity! Should have it by my b'day in October. Or a version of it! Or the Paraty...
looby, hope you have a lovely day.

dexter73 · 20/06/2012 13:01

Notyummy - I can't believe you haven't seen these little beauties before. A shoe that rolls up into a tiny football - what's not to love Wink?

blue2711 · 20/06/2012 13:05

annie you have made me really happy today Thanks. Plus you're really making me want to take up Pilates or something similar which I've been meaning to do for ages. I feel quite shy about classes or any sort of public exercise though, think because I was so inept at school. Loads of dance classes, around 5 a week until I was about 14 (and discovered boys!) and really loved them. Maybe I should start again.

Hmm, after lovely sunny morning it's all grey here now. I long for an endless succession of sunny days. Loved strolling hand in hand in the sun with DS to his gym club session this morning. Just chattering about silly things. 2 is such a lovely age in so many ways, I wish I could freeze some of the moments. I now find that ABBA song 'Slipping through my Fingers' very poignant! Reassuring to hear the tantrum stories though; he's definitely spirited! Remaining calm and very very consistent always helps, the minute I lose my temper / shout Blush his bad behaviour escalates. I always remember what I learnt as a trainee teacher: praise, praise, praise. Even the smallest things. Apparently it should be ratio 8:1 positive to negative comments!

Lovely AW choices hopefully. Absolutely no more SS purchases for me.

Blue this is the dvd I have been using, it's really good.

Bloss keep saving! I'm saving for something big, not sure what yet though. I keep it totally separate from other funds so it can't be spent in Zara or wherever.

Dexter those shoes are hilarious! Bet they're comfy though!

Decameron · 20/06/2012 13:33

Aww, Blue, you have actually made me cry here (in a nice way!), my mother used to sing that to me.

You are right, Looby, I should get the babysitter more but DD2 gets very upset, although apparently she is fine 10 minutes later. I do have a babysitter booked for Tues for a few hours. The end is in sight, the project ends Fri week. I like that leopard print scarf a lot. Hope you are feeling well.

NSG, I'm flattered!

I decided that going to Regent St next week would take up too much of my precious four hours of freedom so ordered the grey Marias and these 7s, similar to the ones Mim bought but on sale, to compare. I blame 7 and Earl for my denim addiction, they were my first high end purchases.

I must go there sometime, Verity, it looks beautiful. My grandfather was from Courtown.

I feel so mean, I took DD2 to toddler group for the first time today and she loved it. I need to do more with her. DD1 had a full schedule of Monkey Music, Gymboree etc at the same age!

alwaysrunninginheels · 20/06/2012 13:48

blue inspired by your 8:1 ratio- am going to try to focus on that! Especially with school breaking up next week. Suspect it may take me some time!

decameron I think the first child will always get to do more. My dc3 gets no activities yet her brothers have loads! I keep feeling guilty but simply don't have enough time!
