TOMs sizing (not mine!) do they come up small?

I bought DD a much begged for pair after a good report. They arrived today and whilst they fit her lengthwise she said they feel a bit tight across the top, where the elastic is.

I did look at the reviews before I bought them and it said they do give a little bit (material is canvas) but I'm not sure whether to send them back and go for a bigger size?

We cant get to the bigger shops easily, hence buying them online. I ordered her the size that the rest of her shoes are, assuming they'd fit. I knew she should have tried them on somewhere first!

I bought a pair for dd in her actual shoe size but she couldn't get her foot anywhere near in them.....still sitting there waiting for me to return them! No idea though until I do that just how many sizes too small they are.

They are tiny - my dd needed to go up 2 sizes.

They're very narrow aren't they? DD has tiny feet as well.

I've just ordered her a size 2, will send the smaller ones back. Dexter, wish I'd seen your post first! Mind you, as I said, they're fine lengthwise so don't really want to go much bigger.

I should think that would be fine as they do stretch after a bit. My dd has big, wide feet so she needed the extra sizes!

Gosh I'm glad I don't want a pair then - id have to have them especially made haha!
