Which would you recommend? I am a size 12, 5'3" tall, jeans often come up v long on me. I like very dark blue denim.

I got some fab ones from Urban Outfitters, but they were in the sale, but worth a look.....

winnybella · 12/06/2012 23:57

Levi's Demi Curve. Perfect. They have few different ones: full, curve, demi curve and something else, for different bum shapes. I've had mine for a year now and they have kept the shape.

TrumpetInvoluntary · 13/06/2012 00:44

Levi curves...agree..they hold shape well and are long lasting..

Dancergirl · 13/06/2012 07:44

Thanks. £80 though Shock

Any others you would recommend? Boden? Gap?

I saw lots of levi curve jeans in tkmaxx - not 80 there.

I have to say that the best ones I have found (on the recommendation of most of my friends) are from Dorothy Perkins. They do a short length and are usually only £15! I have lots of pairs in dark blue and recently bought lovely black ones.

Smugfearnleyshittingstool · 13/06/2012 09:02

Oasis cherry jeans are nice, I have long black and cropped blue/coral. They have a nice higher waist that holds tummy in, and skinny fit. £36 I think I paid as they always have 20% off vouchers in store or mags.

Gap skinnies are ok too, as are boden but my fav are the cherry

daisygatsby · 13/06/2012 09:44

i love warehouses ultra skinny jeans. i know the 'ultra skinny' sounds a bit offputting but i find them really flattering (im 5'3 and curvy size 10) they are a bit long but i just turn up the bottoms. the best thing about them is they have a nice high waist. cant remember the price but reasonable and warehouse often have online discounts if you get the codes.

DerbyNottsLeicsNightNanny · 13/06/2012 11:03

I got some very dark blue ones from Oasis recently, they are called Cherry crop but on me (also 5' 3") they are normal length not cropped!

They look great but I fear the colour will start to go from the knees after a few more wearings as I seem to spend a lot of the time crawling round playing at making dens with my toddler!

Would recommend them though! I got them when 20% off which I think brought them down to £36 if I remember rightly.

I'm really impressed with the m&s 'jegging' skinny jeans at the moment - a nice high waist so they're not constantly sliding down, a good fit and only £22.50. They're not too long either - just right on me at 5' 4''. You might need to size down - I' normally a 10 but take an 8 these.

MsOliveOyl · 13/06/2012 15:58

My favourite skinnies ever are Paige Verdugo Leggings. Really dark colour, no obvious stitching or logos, just a very simple, clean look. They are definitely jeans rather than leggings, but don't bag at all at the knees and are properly skinny all the way down (I'm short too and they just wrinkle up nicely at the ankle rather than being too long.)

£££££ but worth it as I wear them two or three times a week.

Dancergirl · 17/06/2012 20:09

Thanks all.

I tried a pair of the Dorothy Perkins ones which did fit very well but I didn't like the colour - they were almost black.

Also looked at the M and S jeggings which have fantastic reviews but there are hardly any sizes left in indigo! Going shopping tomorrow and will try Oasis, Warehouse and Gap.

My current faves are from Primark - £9!

Perfect fit, and don't gape at the waist.

trixymalixy · 18/06/2012 18:34

Warehouse ultra skinnies are my favourites. Primark are not bad for the price.

mewkins · 18/06/2012 19:54

Gap always skinny( they may have changed name to really skinny) jeans are nice in dark indigo. They hold shape well and I don't have to keep pulling them up. M and S jeggings are also good for summer if you can find the size you need. I also have some from uniqlo that have lasted a couple of years and fit well.

Sleepwhenidie · 18/06/2012 20:21

Have Gap changed the always skinny cut as well does anyone know? I have a pink pair bought in the spring and bought a white pair a few weeks ago, same size but I could barely get them on, not even the pair a size up (I may have put on a couple of lbs but definitely no more), it wasn't even the waist so much as the leg being so narrow....

frazzlerock · 18/06/2012 21:38

Uniqlo.

They are amazing, very flattering, reasonably priced and keep their shape.
They also do free alterations. I can't pass a Uniqlo without going in to try one of their latest colours.

domesticslattern · 19/06/2012 16:29

Levi curves ID skinny jeans are 40% off on their website at the moment. I tried on a few pairs this morning, they seem like a really good design and come in an indigo wash. I have a thick waist (new baby) but thin legs so slight curve fits brilliantly, plus they come in three leg lengths.
Probably too late for the OP but thought others might like to know about the price drop.
