Hi all. I have no style and know nothing about beauty. I have in the last year lost 9 stone taking me from a size 28 to an 18. Its an ongoing process. My standard wear is plain black trousers and a plain tshirt and i generally have no life so never go 'out' anywhere that needs me to wear something different.
Now,the bit that got me in a panic is this... i have a do next week. Leaving drinks in a pub. It's my event as i am moving away so all eyes will be on me and i cant hide in a corner which is where i would prefer to be!

What can i buy??? Like i said i'm an 18. Have bigish belly, and have bingo wings.

I have a hair cut booked for the day and would really love to feel a million dollars.

Help me please Sad

Congratulations on such a fantastic weight loss.

What's your budget like?

this is pretty and could also be worn in autumn/winter with opaques etc, so would be good value. The fabric will help hid a tummy.

Oh my God.... You've done fantastically well!

I'd say go for something soft (jersey) with sleeves and a flattering a-line style. Can you get to a John Lewis? Their personal stylists or even just sales ladies are so helpful, won't pressure you into buying and there's a massive selection of dresses at good prices. I bought a Kew dress from there last year. It's flattering and I wear with sandals in summer and tights and cardi with boots, in winter.

Have a great evening and well done!

Well done, you've done amazingly! I'd second the idea of a personal shopper - Debenhams do this too.

Good luck - with finding something nice to wear, and with the move!

Thanks for replying! I love both those phase 8 dresses. They look they would disguise my tummy well. I am going to look into a personal shopper as i think someone guiding me towards suitable items would be really helpful.

Thank you so much i would never had thought of it myself Grin

Wow congratulations that is an amazing achievement.

Definitely go for a personal shopper and enjoy yourself, you totally deserve to feel pampered.
