Anyone else had problems with Beauty Expert site?

I ordered Elemis stuff recently when they had a promotion, and have had two problems:
a) the eye cream was supposed to be packaged with an eye mask - only the eye cream arrived
b) they sold out of the much trumpeted free gift - and no replacement has been offered.

Yes I did call and speak with customer services last week - which of course is 5p per minute or something iirc - and they said they would come back to me.

Personally I think this is poor and certainly won't rush to spend any of my hard-earned with them again. Has anyone else had the same experience and if so how did you manage to kick Beauty Expert's collective bums to get what you ordered (without remortgaging the house on customer service line costs)?

Yes me - I was on the Elemis offer thread too, I got no gift and I think I will take it further with them also, I am extremely pissed off with it TBH. Will have to be tomorrow, too weary now.

In the meantime, I am putting Beautyexpert.co.uk on my 'never buying from there again' list. A shame when they have the cashback and everything.

I ordered it; but immediately emailed to say "please cancel it if the free gift is sold out". They emailed to say it was sold out but still dispatched everything else! They also said I could return the other stuff, but no mention of whther I get stung for the return postage - anyone know?

Another thing - I ordered the Elemis "sparkling beauty" set, and checked online and it appears to be a breast cancer fundraiser set sold in 2010. Will the products have deteriorated if its that old?

Elemis (according to QVC at least) will last a good 3 years in unopened and stored appropriately, ie not on a sunny windowsill. I have contacted them again about mine, in a pretty assertive manner this time. I will see what the response is Sad Very disappointed though.

BTW you would have to pay for returns I think. And emailing them through the site is a PITA because then you don't have a copy of what you sent but I have C+P'd my complaint to a word document because I am sad
