Ok, so i'm a size 14. I have a really wobbly stomach. Although i have a pair of really comfy skinny size 12 jeans as they are stretchy enough.

I recently had a photo taken of me (i know) wearing a pair of these with a plain white loose t-shirt, from next, really thin material, with a vest top underneath and i was horrified! my stomach looked like a huge mound of tyres, it looked awful! the t-shirt was white, was this the wrong colour?

What decent t-shirts should i wear? thicker material ones? i can't afford to spend a lot on one. I like them with a decent short sleeve in too. Or maybe the size 12 jeans aren't a good fit and i should stick to a 14? but they would be too loose and i'd be forever pulling them up.

When I had my colours / shapes "done" it was suggested I wear empire line dresses and tops for just this reason Sad. Fairly trim size 12 bum but flabby middle / upper tummy. Teeshirts that fit seem just to emphasise the rolls but shirts are OK, especially with a M&S slimming vest underneath!

I've seen some nice empire line dresses and have found one top (hence my plea for new brown trousers on another thread).

I have started wearing tunics or sometimes dresses that come to above the knee over my jeans, I'm a size 14 too and I find that a tunic that looks a bit straight and shapeless on the hanger, looks quite nice on. They sort of skim my waist so no rolls, lumps or bumps.

Thanks for the replies, keep them coming please. I can't wear dresses they just look wrong on me : ( & tunic tops have a tendency to make me look pregnant! But maybe shirt style tops maybe the way to go? I'm at a loss really although I'm at my most comfortable in jeans & t-shirt I'm thing maybe Im not doing myself any favours iykwim?
