Hair bands for work

I have to wear fairly formal work clothes. Think dress with jacket and sometimes a skirt suit. I love Alice bands / hair bands and my hair looks good in them (frankly they are the only thing that look good with that length of hair on me).
Would you wear a thin Alice band to work? Something like this- m.boots.com/mt/www.boots.com/en/Boots-Thin-Tortoiseshell-Effect-Alice-Band_1038247/
Or this- www.google.co.uk/search?tbm=isch&source=mog&hl=en&gl=uk&client=safari&tab=wi&q=thin%20alice%20band&sa=N&biw=320&bih=356#i=112
Sorry, pasting on phone so couldn't make it linky.
I need to look capable at work and not chirpy/ flighty if that makes any sense.
I'm in my early thirties btw, and hate the whole mutton/ lamb thing (but would rather not err terribly on that front IYSWIM).

The one on Page 6 (silver with the 'prongs' ) would stay in place .
I've worn ones like that when I've had to keep my fringe out of my eyes - the ones with the tiny 'teeth' tend to slip IME.

Have now grown hair to one length bob.
