Help me to help my mother in law look fantastically elegant for a wedding

I'd really like to help my mother in law look fab for a wedding in September. She is mother of the groom. It's in a different country and it will be the first time she meets the the bride's family. More importantly her Ex Husband will be there. So she wants to look and feel fab to show him what he has lost.

There are a few requirements. No high heels only flats. No leg showing. She has a reasonable figure but mainly wheres "slacks" and cardis from BHS.

She is thinking Black trousers, a jacket and a blouse. I wonder if finding this might be too tricky?

She liked the look of this zara but has been suggesting Per Una also.

She hasn't said what the budget is but I think it is quite small.

Any suggestions of where too look would be great.

(opps epic post!)

My mum loves phase eight clothes, maybe worth looking there? It's not particularly cheap, but debenhams sell it so could try and purchase from there during one of their 20% off events if there's something she liked?

Budget wise, its worth while looking on Ebay for mother of bride/groom outfits - I got my mum a whole Jaques Vert outfit for £50, worn once, that she looked amazing in - long v heavy jersey dress, pink fitted jacket, hat and handbag
