Summer or winter?

I live in shades of navy, grey and white clothes, with the occasional bright pink or coral. I know black looks draining on me. Do those colours fit into one of the seasons? The whole colours thing is new to me, but having a fairly limited colour range means everything goes and getting ready is a lot easier than it used to be.

Anyone know a bit more about this?
Thanks

You can easily build a staple wardrobe for the whole year based on what you've got in navy, grey and white. Must admit, a lot of my everyday and work clothes also fit into this description.

As long as you go for classic shapes, clothes won't date and can be updated for each season with different colour accessories. I'm a huge fan of scarves and necklaces in every which shape, design and colour which can give a wardrobe a completely different look. I wouldn't discount black for this reason as with a scarf or necklace or different colour top/jacket, it could look completely different on you.

I'm a brunette with olive-ish skin so I suit vibrant colours better than say pastels but this is something I've learned over the years through trial and error. Do you have anyone that you could ask their advice on the best colour other than your staple colours as to what could suit you and start building up a few items from there? Alternatively, have you worn any other colours in the past and had comments on this as this could be a good place to start also in terms of bringing in other colours to your wardrobe?

Also, some stores like Debenhams offer a free personal shopper service so this could be another area to pick up tips on what colours may suit you.
