I am currently sporting MATTE BLACK NAILS, with SILVER GLITTER ON BLACK as accent nails on my ring fingers.

In my opinion this makes me currently the coolest girl in the school by roughly 39.33%.

Re SH Maximum Growth - I think it's brilliant and really works. My nails are very weak and always breaking (I bit them until August 2009) but they seem to grow quicker when I use SH MG

JodieHarsh - your mani sounds fab. Re Fantasy Fire - I bought some and love it. Contemplated flogging it on Ebay but couldn't be arsed.

Must do mine later. Am going to do shiny black with this on the top.

One coat of Fantasy Fire over any other colour looks brilliant. On it's own it's too much but as a top coat cooooooooo-ellll.

Avon do a nice matte grey which I use for a French manicure, the grey as base and then shiny black on tips.
May not sound nice but looks great. I used to bite my nails from childhood up until last year so have gone a bit mental with nail polishes!

Ooo really Pinot i may have to give the fantasy fire topcoat a go.
I had to do 3 coats to get it looking remotely nice.

And also ELF did a matte top coat for about £1.50. I'm not sure if they still do it but if not I do have a spare boxed that I'm never going to get round to using (too many polishes!) if anyone wants it.

It's great lula. I've NEVER had nails yet the most stressful time of my life last year I got some Gelicure on them and have never looked back!

Dillydolly - I've got one of the Nails Inc magnetic polishes. The purple one. It's ok, but a faff to do yourself. Much better to get it done at a Nails Inc bar.

Swarovski crystals are SO hard to capture on camera decently.

lula gelicure is another version of shellac I think. The gel polish stuff. Think it's just a different brand. THE best £20 I ever spent.
Had it done once and never bit them again.

I can't decide tonight now whether to do nude with pastel tips or grey with fantasy fire....

Seche Vite is my fav topcoat. My favourite brands are Essie, Models Own, Barry M and the new Maybelline colours are lovely.

I nearly always do a ring finger accent, usually glitter. My current favourite glitter is Models Own 'Juicy Jools'. Or I do a kind of faded glitter tips.

I keep meaning to purchase make up sponges to do ombre nails. I want to do turquoise and lilac ombre
