I am currently sporting MATTE BLACK NAILS, with SILVER GLITTER ON BLACK as accent nails on my ring fingers.

In my opinion this makes me currently the coolest girl in the school by roughly 39.33%.

OMG you can get navy Chanel nail polish.

I tell you what. the great thing about manis is that you can gain 10lb of cake PMT bloat but STILL the nail polish will always fit. . .

Pinot my pal has had more grey hairs than that since sixth form, so I remain unconvinced

I love rouge noir but am a massive cheapskate for nail polish so I use Rimmel Celebrity Bash which is not quite as dark but close enough with a couple of coats on...

I am loving this thread! I bought black polish and matt topcoat purely to do the matt/shiney tip nails.

I cheered myself by rainbowing my toe nails. And frantically applying sally hansen Maximum growth....is it any good, cos i am not seeing a difference. Altthough it does give a lovely finish...not slicky thick shiney, just a nice gloss.

They are very like Seche Vite but less sticky and don't dry out in the bottle as quickly. They are very self levelling too, so if you chip or dent your polish you can just put a drop of colour on to cover the chip and do another coat of the topcoat - it never looks too 'thick' on the nails. I do one topcoat after a mani, then another coat of topcoat a couple of days later and my manis last a week, easily.

Cats eep to broken nails - this would be why I stick to short nails - I actually can't understand how women have long nails and manage to do anything. Mine break doing perfectly innocent things like kneading bread

No...rainbow toes are a red toe, an orange or yellow toe, a green toe, a blue toe and a violet toe!

I used to do orange, but I lost it, so I had to buy new, and they were all too close to the red so I went yellow....which I hate, but rainbows make me happy so I go with it!

ooh thanks for the topcoat advice MsO, I like the Seche Vite but it goes gloopy soooo fast. I'll try them when I've used up my cheapy Rimmel topcoat (seems good though)
