I am currently sporting MATTE BLACK NAILS, with SILVER GLITTER ON BLACK as accent nails on my ring fingers.

In my opinion this makes me currently the coolest girl in the school by roughly 39.33%.

ok I got my mani on last night, OPI Road House Blues, with Boots No.7 Glitter topcoat (gold) on accent nails. I can't decide if the silver glitter would have been a better look --> more like stars in the night sky?

Does anyone rate No.7 nail polishes? None of them ever seem to grab my eye when I have those £5-off vouchers to spend.

OMG I got my Konad stamping stuff in the post tonight - had a two minute play while I was waiting for the oven to warm up for the pizzas lovingly stirring a risotto and it is amazing, so easy and quick! Used an ordinary Rimmel polish and it just worked.

Soooo pretty with a lacy pattern across my nails! I'll post some pics once I've had a chance to have a proper play at the weekend.

Oh and in the interests of disclosure, I am wearing Mac Pre-Dawn, which is pink/green irridescent and lovely :) You can't buy it any more which makes me sad.

I got it from Amazon, but you can also get it on eBay. I got a stamper, scraper and two plates for about £15 including postage. The plates I got were M56 and M57. Can't wait to try it out properly.

I also went onto Amazon today.

LadyEmma what patterns are on those plates? I think stamping might be my next foray before I attempt water marbling (my nail art Holy Grail, which I am way too afeared to attempt). Looking forward to your pics!

My other confession is that I am very boring with mine, I just paint them all the same. I love OPI, Chanel (colours only, the varnish is a bit rubbish), Jessica, Seche Vit and Orly Bonder is the best base coat ever!

Loads of brilliant help on this thread though. I am going away on holiday tomorrow and tonight planned to paint my nails OPI Bright Lights.

I am going out at lunchtime though to buy the Max Factor Fantasy Fire...what do I do with it? Use it as a top coat over any colour?

My friend had her toes painted black last night with 3 little crystals on her big toe, it sounds crap and boring but looked gorgeous. How do I do that?

I know, I know, I'm a novice and have a lot to learn.

M56 is mostly fancy tips, including a very purdy set of stripes with a little bow. M57 is a couple of animal prints and some lace which is just gorgeous.

I'm thinking gold cheetah print over a grey maybe? And I'm definitely going to do stripes and bows in navy over a French polish pink.

I got some too brillopads. It is a tiny bottle isnt it.

I have put it over black which was quite nice but even nicer was over Rouge Noir on my fingers, looks nice.

Right - I was about to order, and I discovered that the Fairytale Collection is going on sale tomorrow as individual colours (we missed the pre-orders for the collection -boo), so I'm gonna wait for Princess, Charming and Happy Endings. You can see the colours on the R3daily blog that she does.

Good heads up there, Chameleon! Now I have a better excuse to wait until pay day than just being quite skint.

TIP: free Ciate nail varnish with Marie Claire this month. I got a bright pink jelly called, aptly, Jelly Bean which is probs old stock as it's not on the Ciate website. The other colours were a beige and a pale lilac.

There is also a free Leighton Denny nail varnish with this month's Harper's Bazaar but I couldn't justify buying another magazine (I shouldn't really have bought the Marie Claire) and the Ciate colours were much nicer. Plus I had a shit day today. Excuses, excuses...

And talking of Ciate... what do you think of the Caviar Manicure?

I'm undecided. I think it looks funky but I also think I would just end up playing with it and picking it off. I also think you might end up with teeny baubles everywhere. You'd be picking them p for months, like Xmas tree needles!
