First night out help!

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help with any suggestions...

Tomorrow night is first big night out since having dd. We're doing bars then possibly a club in Leeds and staying over in a hotel, while dgps are down the road at our house babysitting.

Just realised I've got an impending clothes crisis looming! I'm only 30 but I feel soooo much older than I did when I used to go out pre-dd. I'm struggling to adjust to how I see the 'new me' and what the 'new me' wears. I haven't got a clue what the 'new me' would wear on a night out!

I'm thinking I've got some black skinny jeans, that I could wear with some heels or wedges. What top though? I'm 5'2" and size 8 and quite flat chested if that makes a difference. Budget is next to nothing unfortunately.

Any suggestions as to styles, colours, shops etc. most appreciated. I'm off to have a look this afternoon. I feel like I'm putting too much pressure on feeling like I look right affecting how much I enjoy the night, but I do want to feel like I look good. I would also be open to any dress suggestions.

Thank you...

I think you should try a dress - if you're a size 8 you can look good in loads of things!

I'd have a look in H&M if you have one near you, loads of cheap clothes that can look more expensive than they are. Maybe something like this? H&M. Or do you prefer a more fitted style? What shoes do you want to wear?

Hope you find something and enjoy your night out Smile

Ooh I like that patterned one. May e you're right I should go for a dress, think I've lost a bit of confidence that I need to get back somehow

The right dress can always help your confidence (and high heels, I'm also 5ft 2 so know the importance of them!). You also don't have to worry about the jeans/skirt matching the top if you wear a dress!

Good luck with your search!

go for a dress definitely. and don't go for anything to revealing as on your first night out you will feel too self-conscious (i know i did anyway). have fun shopping!

Oh I've just got back from the shops with nothing Sad Poor dd is very bored with being stuck in her pushchair so now we're back at home and she can crawl around. I'm panicking now as feel I have nothing! I'm going to get all my washing up to date, have a look and pack some things that might work. I'll have a chance to look round Leeds maybe for an hour tomorrow afternoon. Really not looking forward to going out now... I know that sounds pathetic but I'll feel rubbish if I don't feel right. Might go for full on pamper tonight, hair, nails etc in an effort to feel more glam.
