The endless search for a practical coat

I need a coat with the following features:

(1) Hip-length
(2) Showerproof, with a hood that won't blow down in the slightest gust of wind
(3) Some warmth to it, for this time of year i.e. not a winter coat
(4) Looks fashionable
(5) Nice colour/pattern

No particular budget - I will fork out for the right one!

Any ideas, oh wise S&B women?

It says it has a zip away hood so may not be too sturdy, and it may be a bit longer than you wanted. Is black a nice colour? Marks out of ten?
