Hi,

Ds2 is 7 weeks old and I still look 6 months pregnant. Someone actually thought I was pregnant until I pointed out dh walking behind me with ds2!

My tummy is still quite sore (it wasn't a straight forward section) so I've been wearing maternity jeans but they keep falling down and aren't doing me any favours really.

I'm 5ft 2, usually a size 12 hour glass shape. I'm currently probably a 16 on bottom and 14 on top (34f bra). I have 2 stone to shift. I'm 31.

Its mainly tops that I'm struggling with. I have jeans and few long cardis but struggling with top half. I hate the tops of my arms at the moment too. Please help :-)

Don't worry, at 6 months, I still had a lot of weight retained. I think I only started losing naturally at 7 months so you're nearly there!
The biggest mistake I made was still wearing maternity trousers - they made me feel frumpy and unattractive. I still don't like anything tummy hugging.
Summer is a great time to get involved with all the beautiful bright colours that are around. I have one of these - very oversized in a lightweight fabric. It looks very nice with jeans. Would look great with a linen scarf in seafoam green. Also just saw the cutest maxi skirt in bright pink and orange with a soft waistband in H&M (must be a new arrival as is not even on their website yet).
I have also bought this tunic top from Zara Zara - seems to be sold out online at the mo, but I found it in one of their stores not too long ago. It is slightly see-through so looks good with a cami underneath.
Don't also underestimate the power of lovely accessories and a good hairdo!

Thanks,

I'm not enjoying clothes shopping at the moment. I prefer shopping online but it's hard to know what size to order. What are h&m and Zara like size wise? I've only worn h&m maternity stuff.

My tummy went down pretty fast after I had ds1 bit I literally have done nothing for the past 7 weeks since having ds2 (due to complications at birth). I'm just starting to get out and about walking but can't exercise much yet. I've ordered a few maxi dresses and im going to treat muself to some new make up and nail varnish etc. Im having my hair done on Friday too. O yeah and I've just bought 2 new pairs of shoes Grin

Sometimes I order more than one size if I am not sure and just return the rest. Just pick a website that doesn't charge you for returns. I think H&M come up small depending on the item, think Zara are accurate. I quite like maxi dresses as with the fluctuating weight you don't then have to throw them out whenever you fluctuate. I had a pair of trousers taken up just to find out a few weeks later that they didn't fit me again :(
