Dark Sunken Circles under Eyes

I have dark sunken circles under eyes, that have appeared over the past few months. I put some eye concealer illuminating stuff but it seems to draw attention to them. How the heck do I get rid of them or disguise them? I'm only 36, I'm not ready to grow old yet :-(

I have them too so will watch with interest

unfortunately mine are a family trait. I have had them all my life and I can see it in the dc aswell.

mine improve with lots of sleep (rare) and drinking lots of water (trying hard to) but they are always there.

I have tried numerous cover ups and concealer but they are hide to disguise.
I am using a 17 hide and chic pen at the moment which is ok but I am loathed to try any more expensive items as they either don't work or enhance their appearance.

sorry I'm not much help Sad

Do you drink enough water?

michglas · 04/06/2012 11:41

I drink loads of water and herbal teas, funny enough now that i'm eating really healthy they have appeared. DD2 has suffered allergy shiners, and i'm wondering if this could be at play with me or whether i'm lacking in iron - i used to be anaemic and have always been borderline since.

I had these for ages but they suddenly got worse. On the advice of a friend I tried a supplement for iron (in a medicine type bottle) and they reduced almost overnight and I also felt more energetic and healthier than I had in ages.

Mellowcat what is the iron supplement called? I have a feeling my dark circles are due to low iron !

mellowcat · 04/06/2012 16:58

It's called Floradix Floravital...It tastes hideous but by the next day I felt amazingly better with loads of energy and within a few days the circles were gone! I got mine in Holland and Barrett but I think it is cheaper on Amazon.

Thanks will get some of that Smile

Floridex is fab stuff, I took it after a very bad bout of flu once -helped enormously.

A cheaper version is Minadex for kids - same thing as far as I can tell but a third of the price Wink
