summer hat and not looking like a dick; mutully exclusive?

i would like to find a summer hat that will keep the sun off my face but which will not make me look like an extra from abigail's party/margo ledbetter so no floppy 70s horors plz

does such a nontwat hat exist? have you ever seen anyone wearing something like this?

Primark had some ace hats last year...I got mine for a single english pound!

It is however very margo, but then so am I I liked it! It's big, round, black, but it did have a wired brim so not at all floppy!

DD says it's like the hat in Friends ... so now everybody wants to be under the hat...

No suggestions but I feel your pain - have been on a few fruitless hat shopping trips and may end up resorting to a children's cap with neck protecting flap!

There has to be something better out there!
