Hairdryer recommendations please!

I have a crappy 2000w babyliss hairdryer, only 2 speeds and no temp control.

Ive recently noticed that when i dry my hair at the gym with a higher powered dryer it looks so much better, its more sleek and stays looking good all day.

So i deffo need a better dryer and some recommendations.

I have fine, shoulder length hair with a tendancy to flyaway/frizz/curl up at the ends

Well, I've just taken receipt of a Parlux after being recommended it on here. 'Tis wonderful and, after dd and dn, the current love of my life. Truly marvellous; I couldn't tell you why it is, it just is. It's like coming out of the hairdressers! The make is Italian. Maybe it gives off Continental heat or somefink.......?

I agree, I have a Parlux and it's excellent. Pricey, but worth every penny!

Yep, me too - Parlux! I bought it because I have been doing a styling course (to do hair-up etc) and I wanted to be able to practice (practise?? ) doing blow drying. I fully intended to only use it for 'proper' blowdrying and keep it in my kit, but I am now using it myself every day, it's amazing. I never thought one hairdryer was any different from another, but I am now totally converted.

I've got the turbo 3000 something or other - was about £70 on amazon.

For high power dryers go to Sally hair and beauty supplies. All their stuff is for salons so you can get high quality not too pricey. Mine was about 20 quid and super fast, much better than anything you can get in Argos, boots etc.

Just askedmy dsis who is is a hairdresser. She suggests a 1400w/1600w,with a middle heat setting and a cool shot for a few minutz to finish. But no recommendations on brand.

I have a 'twin turbo 2600' and it is bloody fantastic, I've had it 10 years, my hairdresser friend got it for me for my 21st birthday, it was the ones they used in the salon, wasn't cheap but worth every penny and obviously as used in salon designed to be used lots and to last! I have frizzy hair and i prefer it to my GHD's for straightening/blowdry.

Just to add I had a quick google and they do them on Amazon for £42

I got my hairdryer from Tony&Guy... it's expensive but the same that they use in the salons. Well worth the money.

Parlux! My last one was a toni and guy and I thought that was fantastic but the Parlux pisses all over it!

I went for an ETI realised ive had one before and it was an amazing hairdryer. Plus only £30 which is a bit easier on the purse than a parlux

I love my ETI and they are what they choose at the hairdressers and gym - so must be fairly hard wearing! Mine has been going strong for 4 years at least.
