Am going to Barcelona (staying in eixample area) for a few days soon.
Anyone recommend where to hit the shops - and what ones to hit!
I wont have a huge budget- but love to pick up a few bits while away!
Normally love Zara/Massiomo Dutti and the likes but seeing as they re here would like similar style/price range Also liek to pick up some bits for DC's (girl age 3 boy age 5)
My ultimate treat when I can if IKKS love their stuff - any chance do they have an outlet or sale store ?

Just went to Barcelona but didn't go to eixample. The shopping may be good there, but everywhere else I found it pretty poor. One street in Barri Gothic, off Placa Catalunya was OK, but everywhere else in the old town and Born district a bit pants really so don't traipse to that part of town for shopping unless you are going anyway.

Theres a huge shopping centre next to the convention centre on the Diagonal.

Port Vell on the harbour has a big shopping centre and lots of restaurants.

Barcelona?
Forget the shopping, just drench yourself in everything else that is there.
The Architecture alone will keep you busy for days.

Massimo Dutti is much cheaper if that helps.

I picked a few gems in a shop called Sfera. Seemed to be quite a few dotted around. They were good for cotton tops/blouses, sumer dresses and accessorises. Someone since told me it was the Spanish Next - but I ignored them Smile

Have no objection to Spanish next :-) ta

Try El Cortes ingles (big department store a la House of Fraser) in the Place de Catalunya just at the top end of the Ramblas-it's fantastic and has lots of different 'concession' areas with different designers.

Disclaimer : it is 5 years since I was last in Barcelona, not been since we had DD1 and 2 so am very Envy at you going!!
