All over fake tan?

I normally only use a bit of fake tan on my legs (st moritz applied with a mitt). I'm considering using it all over as have a party in a few days and can't afford to go for a spray tan.

How do I apply fake tan to the difficult bits - hands and face in particular? Terrified about streaky bits, or big white circles around my eyes! Also, do I use the same fake tan or do I need a specific face one?

If doing face tan I would alwats do it gradually as it would wear off from hands and face quickly if you do a full one.
I got a Via Liberata face tan from TKMaxx for £4 a couple of weeks ago. I think the body ones are a bit stronger but wouldn't be put off using one on my face if I had a few weeks to prepare or avoid reactions as I always have reaction behind my knees with some.

OK....so....very contradictorary advice there, I'm an experimenter, but not before a big occasion ( as I don't believe in alot of hype about specicfic products for specific areas - if it's not not safe for one area then I wouldn't use it on another.

I did one leg in St Moriz and One leg in St Tropez last week............interesting results.
St. Moriz - slightly pinker tan and didn't last as long but wore of more evenly.
St Tropez - much deeper, more yellow tan which lasted longer....but only on certain bits, would have to re-apply to avoid lookinh odd!

St Trop always fades in patches... dilute the tan liquid with moisturiser for your face to avoid looking Tangoed.

Thanks all! When doing my hands, do I go along backs of fingers etc? And is it safe to do eyelids?
