Tinted moisturiser question.

I had a makeover done at the Bobbi Brown counter after being inspired by S&B. I don't have much clue about skin care/ makeup but I am trying at age 38.
The lady moisturised my skin, put eye cream and then a tinted moisturiser and a bit of foundation stick. The result was amazing, skin looked plumped up and really dewy. I loved the look but am not so sure about the feel. My skin felt very tacky to touch and my husband even commented when he kissed me on the cheek and he's pretty unobservant!
Is this normal for the skin to feel moist, is it something I just need to get used to? Is this what skin should feel like?

to me it sounds like you have too many things for your skin needs. If the first moisturizer was good, why would you need an extra tinted moisturizer and foundation on top? it seems too much to me.

IME, make up counter assistants apply way too much product. I recently bought Estee Lauder double wear foundation which is great when I use it my way but I couldn't wait to clean my face after she applied it - really slicked it on!

I use either Chanel Hydramax tinted moisturiser or Lancome Hydra Zen teint. Both give great coverage and are more than moisturising enough for my dry skin without leaving it feeling tacky. If I apply a little too much it can feel this way but I tend to wear bronzer over the top at this time of year anyway so it absorbs any excess.

I've got Bobbi Brown tinted moisturisers, if you want a 'drier' consistency the oil free one is best and gives more of a matte finish, the normal one gives more of a dewy look (and does the 'plump' thing better imo) but still shouldn't feel wet. I dont know why the lady used regular moisturiser or foundation, sounds like shes used too much product which would explain the feeling you got.

I like the Laura mercier tinted moisturiser - oil free. Likewise I tend to use a bit of bronzer at this time of year.
Am Interested in hearing about Laura mercier illuminating tinted moisturiser
