Just bought first pair. In true size (7), they flap about- a lot!! Is this normal?? Or too big?

I've been wearing them for years and have to wear a size smaller than usual.

I wear mine a size smaller and they are a neat, comfortable fit.

Sound a bit too big for you have you done the strap up to its tightest setting ? You could take back and exchange for size down

I always wear a size down too - was told too at the shop I bought them from and they were bang on.

Birkies also have two different shape bottoms as well, narrow and wider, so you may find one more comfortable than the other. I heart my Birkies

Definitely smaller, I wear two sizes down!

Yes definitely a size or even 2 sizes smaller. I'm a 38, but wear a 36.

gosh, I have had several dozen pairs of Birkies over the years and I always buy the same size I am in other shoes (size 6, 39)

I also buy a size smaller (only shoes I've ever had where I've needed to size down!)

Always go for a size smaller in birkenstocks.

Im normally a 7 but need a 6 in birkies.

I love my Birkies. I get my usual size. (But I have hideous hobbit like feet )

I have to get a size down too - they fit perfectly then.

They come in two widths too. Wider ones are far too wide for me.
