Miller Harris perfumes

Does anyone wear or like miller Harris perfumes? I went into the shop today and want pretty much all the perfumes. They smell unusual (in a good way!) and they give out lots of samples to try.

I'm currently wafting around in geranium bourbon.

I have the Fleur Oriental. I absolutely love it, my all time favourite and I have tried loads over the years

wildstrawberryplace · 01/06/2012 19:35

Yes, they are lovely. I have figue amere and noix de tubereuse. The candles are very good too.

MissFoodie · 01/06/2012 19:37

I love it, Citron Citron is my favourite, I don't really like perfume so it's brilliant, more of a sophisticated cologne

coffeeinbed · 01/06/2012 20:42

I love La Fumee.

blabalalalablabla · 01/06/2012 20:57

Ooh me too - I love figue amere and citron citron and the tangerine one - they're all lovely - I'm still working my way through the testers as I'm far too indecisive...

LaurieFairyCake · 01/06/2012 21:01

God yes, love lots of them. I paid full price (£60) for Tabac which is a mans one but smells great and unusual on me and then I started buying them up on ebay second hand. I bought fleur oriental (lovely) and couer de couer (very floral, very daytime - worn it every day this week.

there's a few on there for £19.99 (citron was one)

MissFoodie · 01/06/2012 21:13

stop Laurie, S&B is costing me a bloody fortune...............!

MissFoodie · 01/06/2012 21:28

hhmm thank the lord they don't have anythingon ebay I need, all Citron Citron or Fleurs des Bois (not my thing)

Petit Grain is £120.....??!!!

MrsBovary · 01/06/2012 21:51

Noix de Tubereuse is my favourite. It's lovely.

polyhymnia · 01/06/2012 22:30

Yes - I like very few perfumes but they, together with Annick Goutal and Frederic Maille, are the best in my book. The tangerine vert is a favourite. Also Petitgrain and Un Air de Rien. well worth the money IMO - I'd go for one bottle from them to several from Boots.

polyhymnia · 01/06/2012 22:31

Not that I would mind buying their perfumes from Boots if they stocked them !

KatieMiddleton · 01/06/2012 22:36

Yes lovely. Before dc when dh and I had money to burn we used to stay in a hotel that had Miller Harris products... and then we went back and they'd changed to some shite Angry

If you like MH you'll probably like Jo Malone too. You can layer the scents to create different ones if you're creative and pick the very plain one or two note scents.

There are still a few MH bits and pieces on Brand Alley - including my absolute favourite Poirer d’un Soir.

Talisin · 12/10/2018 20:58

...and a few on TK Maxx currently as well. I think they’ve changed the packaging recently so this would be old stock presumably.

WhereAreWeNow · 12/10/2018 21:24

Yes, I like the smokey masculine ones (feuilles de tabac, la fumee). I tried another one the other day which was lovely but can't remember what it was called. They've got quite a few at bargain prices on allbeauty.com at the mo.

UnnecessaryFennel · 13/10/2018 10:11

I have several MH perfumes. They're of a much higher quality than Jo Malone, which is basically cheap eau de cologne with delusions of grandeur.

I love L'air de rien and Etui noir, and also like Fleurs de sel, Feuilles de tabac and Terre d'iris. Bought some Poirier de soir recently from TKMaxx and sadly it's waaaaay too sweet for me. Would like to try Figue amere as I love any figgy 'fume.

Stopyourhavering64 · 13/10/2018 10:40

I love Tea Tonique as an everyday perfume , lovely and fresh and vetiver in evening or in autumn/ winter....woody and sensual

500BusStops · 13/10/2018 10:55

I have the rose one, it’s lovely and I always receive compliments on it. It’s difficult to find a rose perfume that actually smells of roses but this one does!

UnnecessaryFennel · 13/10/2018 11:51

Oh yes, Rose Silence is very lovely as well! A soft and pretty patchouli rose, with some depth - I keep it in my desk drawer at work because it's a great everyday perfume.
