Backless silver sequin vest, can't go bra-less...

Is it ok for the bra to show? A really pretty one, maybe silver to match vest? It's very, very low at the back so I don't even think one of those bras designed for backless clothes will work.

Any thought?

I would tend to say no, sorry..

Geeklover · 31/05/2012 22:12

Hmm I would say no but I have also seen people do it and realised it doesn't look that bad.
What about one of those bras that are clear plastic round the back?

Geeklover · 31/05/2012 22:13

But do tell me more about the vest please Grin

akaemmafrost · 31/05/2012 22:27

Can't link because on iPhone but it's the grey sequin vest at River Island if you Google it.

Might try the clear plastic then.

What about those stick on bra jobs? Think they're about a fiver in Primark. Not much good if you need a lot of support though...

I'm not huge, a or b cup so that might work.

I am a great believer that a nice neat and tidy looking bra back (no straining, labels or bobbles!) looks far more subtle than a strip of sweaty plastic or a hint of 'ingenious' underwear

My friend had a bra, I think it might have been wonderbra? Anyway that had 2 strips of diamanté across the back rather than a bra back and she wore that with backless tops and it looked really nice

I'd go the Carrie Bradshaw root, and have a very pretty bra showing. Maybe a coral pink if you want it to stand out, or silver if not, but it needs to be very well fitting, preferable brand new, and cut the labels out!

bonzo77 · 01/06/2012 16:49

If you are an A or B cup, can you not go braless? Or get one of those stretchy bandeau bras in black?

akaemmafrost · 01/06/2012 20:27

I decided the vest was too fraught with danger for me to enjoy wearing so went for another one, still sequiny but black and with a higher back. But I am going to order a bra with a diamanté back. They looked great.
