i am about to buy some but there are different shades , i am thinking medium or tan.
has anyone used medium ? would it give any tan at all or just even out skintone ? confused !

OP posts:
CMOTDibbler · 31/05/2012 18:29

I am very fair, and medium is darker than I ever tan naturally

PrematurelyAirconditioned · 31/05/2012 18:32

Medium is definitely very noticeable on fair skin.

JaxTellerIsMyFriend · 31/05/2012 18:44

I have the light one and it evens out skintone. Not sure how dark the medium one is. It would be too dark for me, who is peely wally. (Scottish for pale)

peachypips · 31/05/2012 18:47

Does it rub off on clothing?

anniewoo · 31/05/2012 18:53

I use medium-i don't have white white skin but have celtic colouring.tus very good and handy cos i always streak fake tan and even the daily tanners Grin

GobblersKnob · 31/05/2012 18:58

I never knew that Jax, this is dd's favouite book atm.

(sorry op)

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 31/05/2012 19:30

I'm fair and use the light. It doesn't rub off IME

shelley72 · 31/05/2012 19:36

i was just coming on to say thank you to whoever recommended it - its fab stuff! i used the medium (which is fairly dark) - but i have picked up a bit of colour with all this sunshine so it wasnt as bad as i expected. it went on evenly - i did rub in around the ankles / tops of feet, no streaking, evened out the tone of my legs and lasted 24 hours. put in on after bath on tues night and washed it off on wed night - still looked perfect. i am not good with self tan and i wanted to wear a knee length dress on tues night. it was so quick, mess free (though i did stand in the bath just to make sure it was easy to clean up). i cant rate it highly enough Smile

anniewoo · 31/05/2012 20:21

It rubs off on clothes

shelley72 · 31/05/2012 20:32

Oh, that's interesting as mine didn't, I let it dry for about 5 mins then dressed (in white linen trousers) to collect ds. Maybe I have very dry skin !

thriftychic · 31/05/2012 21:23

Thanks im going for the light as i am very fair skinned !

SleepyFergus · 01/06/2012 15:25

JaxTellerIsMyFriend · 01/06/2012 16:28

puds11 · 01/06/2012 16:31

What is this stuff? Can anyone do me a link? im mucho pale (think casper in winter) and would like a bit tan for my holidays.

Catsdontcare · 01/06/2012 16:33

Didn't come off on my clothes but I waited avoid twenty minutes before dressing. I know it's meant to wash of but mine seems to have stayed on, mind you I can't use shower gel so maybe that's why

shelley72 · 01/06/2012 16:44

puds11 · 01/06/2012 16:49

Ooooh thankyou shelly that looks good!

puds11 · 01/06/2012 16:50

Does it wash off instantly? or is it on for a few days?

shelley72 · 01/06/2012 16:54

well mine lasted 24 hours with no streaking or flaking, but yes did wash off with a bit of a scrub! i was quite impressed can you tell Smile. am rubbish with fake tan, but i can do this myself quickly if i suddenly decide to have my legs on show.

puds11 · 01/06/2012 17:00

I was thinking about it for my holiday but i will be in and out of the pool/sea. Will it hold up?

SleepyFergus · 01/06/2012 17:29

Oooh thanks, may look into a wee cheeky purchase.....

GreenEyesAndHam · 01/06/2012 20:53

I tried this stuff last week- I got the fair.

I duly applied on legs and thought 'hmmm.....that looks a bit ....weird'

Not sure how to describe it, almost as if I had very sheer tights on. Anyway, I trotted out of the bathroom and DH, who is not the most observant of blokes, immediately went

'bloody hell, what've you done with your legs? They look FANTASTIC'

Honest I was Shock

It didn't half take some scrubbing off as well, I wouldn't worry about it getting wet
