Has anyone tried this?

I had a sample which i used yesterday - its more matte than the other bb creams i've tried and spf 35!

I think i'm impressed but not sure

I wasn't impressed in the slightest, but then again i don't like tinted moisturisers.

Glad i didn't purchase, but their make-up remover has the best smell ever. Possible the best smelling product I've ever come across. Pantene is a close second.

I keep dithering over whether to get it - the high spf is a really big positive and yes it felt more matt than the others - the BB creams I've tested seem to make me look a bit sallow iyswim.

I currently use Double Wear Light which I really rate - and have previously used tinted moisturisers mostly rather than full foundation so now that the sun is out I could probably do with a lighter base.

I think I'll see if I can pick up a sample as they'd run out last time I popped into the nearerst counter.

The Times recommended it last week-gave it 9/10 but I thought it a bit expensive. Boots No 7 got 8/10 but was a lot cheaper. I am still thinking about it.

blabalalalablabla · 27/05/2012 22:33

I didn't like the No 7 one - it kind of felt like emulsion - something about the texture that just didn't do me any favours.

AuntieMaggie · 27/05/2012 23:02

Yes i tried the no7 and garnier ones which were crap for my skin in warm weather even though i got the oily no7 one whereas the estee lauder one was ok yesterday when i was just sat in the sun all day.

Ive got a bit of a rash on my chin but dont think it was caused by that - more likely something i've touched then rubbed my face as i've been really sweaty!!!

Garnier made my skin break out. Too heavy for me. Estée Lauder smells lovely and evens out tone/brightens skin a treat.

anniewoo · 27/05/2012 23:30

I thought EL BB cream was lovely

Iatemyskinnyperson · 28/05/2012 04:01

Got it Saturday, wore it all day sun- really liked it. Felt great and looked v nice

maz78 · 28/05/2012 09:53

I really like the Estee Lauder BB cream. I was lucky enough to get quite a lot of samples before finally deciding to go for it in duty free (quite a lot cheaper!). I'm really pleased with it. I've always been a tinted moisturiser girl and I liked the higher spf of this BB cream for the summer months. Saying that, I did put sun lotion underneath it over the weekend just in case as I was out all day! It got a 9/10 from the Telegraph the weekend after I bought it and seems to get the best reviews out of the bb creams (although technically it is actually a 'beauty benefit cream' not a 'blemish balm').

Eliza22 · 28/05/2012 10:07

The Dior one got great reviews in yesterday's Sunday Times mag "Style". Expensive though!

Eliza22 · 28/05/2012 10:12

Oh, Dior one has spf50 but......only comes in one shade as it apparently adapts to your skin colour Confused

BobbiFleckman · 28/05/2012 10:19

I am wearing it today for the second time... Strange texture going on (very thick) so takes a good bit of blending but it's great - evened my sorry face out a treat. skin feels super smooth (that may however be the EL night serum magic stuff that I bought at the same time...)

Maz - what's the difference between a blemish balm / beauty benefit cream anyway? is one meant to do sthing the other doesn't?

Pinkglow · 28/05/2012 15:45

I purchased this over the weekend and after being very disappointed in the Garnier one I was very impressed with the EL. I wasnt planning on buying another BB cream but I really like it

hattymattie · 28/05/2012 18:52

Sorry to be really thick - what's BB?

blabalalalablabla · 28/05/2012 19:08

Right - I think I'm going to cave in and get some...will report back after my purchase!

hatty - BB cream is Beauty Balm - originates from Asia. Linky

hattymattie · 28/05/2012 19:50

Ahh thank you bla - all becomes clear Smile
