DD1 needs some new shoes for school, don't want to buy her clunky Winter school shoes but I can't find anything Summery and yet suitable (no open toes allowed). DD2 has some that are lovely, a simple classic t-bar type that fit her wide feet but they only come in small sizes and DD1 needs a 13 and a half , wide feet, high instep. I have looked at endless websites, nada! What do your DDs wear to school in the hot weather?

Those pepe shoes are lovely but £110!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shock That is a criminally high price for a pair of shoes for a child.

Lovemygirlivey where are you? We were living in King's Cross but spent a Summer in Chalcott square in a friend's flat while he was abroad. Have lots of friends round there. Mainly as we all walked our dogs together. -Scummy It is insanely expensive I agree. But having spent under £40 on several pairs of shoes that have then fallen apart really quickly I recently paid nearly £90 in the hope that at least they will last. I did wince, yes.

West Hampstead - what about you?

I also agree that there are expensive but the quality is fabulous far better than the english classics i have bought from startrite in the past.

I bought these www.clarks.co.uk/p/20342996 for dd. we have red summer dresses but alas school have said no! Sad but we are wearing them all the same!
I say go with what fits your dd and her feet!

Oh I love red shoes. I wish red was ok for school. My Mother refused me the red patent party shoes and I've never quite got over it....No uniform when I was little and we were all in lovely colours. I get so fed up with navy. at least now it is gingham dresses which are a bit more attractive than horrible poly-mix polo shirts.
We are miles away from London now. Wild west wales. dolphins, seals, but no shoe shops.

Oh my thats quite a jump from london to wales. At least your uniform is navy i can think of far worse colours - navy sandals are much easier to find that brown/black ones.
