I'm skint so looking for a cheap sun cream, at least factor 15 hopefully higher. They are so expensive in boots! Where's better? I have a really old factor 50 and it's so thick and chalky! Hopefully something that spreads a little easier lol.

I found some in Sainsburys yesterday, but cannot remember how much they were. Definitely the cheapest on offer and they have 25% off at the moment, I think. I bought factor 15 (for me and DH) and factor 50 (for 7yr old DS).

Soltan in Boots is half price at the moment

JambalayaCodfishPie · 27/05/2012 15:11

Wilkinsons family pack - full size bottles of factor 15, factor 30, factor 50 and an aftersun - £10. Smile

picnicbasketcase · 27/05/2012 15:14

Solait from Superdrug is working well so far. I think it was half price, so £3-something instead of £7 or £8 ish

DimplesOHara · 27/05/2012 15:16

I second Wilkinson or try Asda both really good. They've all got to be approved and tested anyway so your normally paying for for brand names

If you have a Home Bargains near you they had lots last year. I got Simple stuff as we're all funny in the skin dept, seems great, I boughth 2 kinds of factor 50 (lotion & cream) & Aftersun for me & DDs. It was £2.99 Boots have the same ones for £10.99

Poundland do a factor 30 kids suncream which is nice and smooth and rubs in well. It has uva and uvb filters and is water resistant. It's £1 for 75ml.

sidsmissis · 27/05/2012 20:50

This is excellent. High UVA and UVB protection and the only sunscreen I'm not allergic to.

It's not always available in stores but I get mine from the local pharmacy. All pharmacies should be able to order it as it's available on prescription for some conditions.

I buy Malibu from Poundland, we get factor 15.

ChunkyMonkeyMother · 27/05/2012 21:18

Yy to home bargains - I got simple factor 30, some blue spray stuff in 50 which is great as you can see where it is and isn't and I got some stuff from lidl a while ago - I think it was £3 and is a 50 and is lovely!

Moln · 27/05/2012 21:24

ASDA suncream has been rated highly by Which? Magazine. It's very good value. I highly recommend it.

i think the Malibu stuff was shown to be a lower rating than was claimed on the bottle. That and the tesco brand are the two that have stuck in my head for this reason. Something worth knowing!

Krumbum · 27/05/2012 22:23

Oo so many more choices! I thought I'd end up having to shell out £12, I dont think There is a home bargains near me, never heard of it. I live in portsmouth, anyone know if there's one here?
