I'm thinking : red shoes & red handbag (for splash of colour), nude shoes combo, White/ cream or just navy? It's for a christening - watdyathink?!

Navy would be the obvious and chic choice, but im wondering about a splash of colour....red sounds good, but theres also alot of green about? Or a lovely coral colour, which is good with a tan. If you have a matching bag in same colour it will tie it together and stand out!

muddykittenheels · 27/05/2012 08:29

Thanks for your speedy replies! Yes navy would be the safe choice but I'm liking the red/coral idea- is 47 too old to pull off red shoes?

No, def not too old! It would look great.

VivaLeBeaver · 27/05/2012 08:44

Definate splash of colour. Orange would look nice as well, a deep burnt orange.

Follyfoot · 27/05/2012 08:48

Or a sulphur yellow? That looks fab with navy

satonawall · 27/05/2012 08:59

Red or cerise pink shoes and bag. And no you're not too old for red. Why do you think you are?

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/05/2012 09:08

I would go with pink.

I think of red as a winter colour, I think pink will look better in the summer sun than red.

Orange is fab too.

Pinot · 27/05/2012 09:25

Folly I agree - yellow! Red is too obvious, too nautical, too "Jubillee" at the moment.

CLASH your shoes.

PHWOAR!

trumpton · 27/05/2012 09:32

Yup > I am wearing red shoes at 60 years old. Certainly not too at 47.

hellswelshy · 27/05/2012 18:33

No not too old! But loving the idea of mustardy yellow also as well as the orange options!! Nice bright shoes are a good way of adding colour, if youre a bit colour shy (like me) - feels daring without feeling gaudy! And adds a spring in your stepWink
