Bravissimo fitting

I went for a fitting the other day and was told I was wearing completely the wrong size. Had been wearing 38B and was told I needed 34D. I tried on the one they recommended and the fitter said it fitted really well. I told her I thought it was a bit tight but she said it would loosen a little with time and was right for me. I wore it today and was uncomfortable all day. When I took it off I had welts across my back and into my breast from the underwire. Should bras be that tight? I must admit I did have a good cleavage in it but it was incredibly uncomfortable. Is that normal? Is it necessary to be in pain to be perky?

Fairly, no it should nit hurt. Bramissivo are good though, I have previously been fitted incorrectly and went back and got an exchange.
Personally I think its only after wearing a bra all day do you truely know if it fits, not five minutes in a changing room.

Nit = not daft phone

Thanks cosy, that's good to know I might try and exchange it. You're so right, it's impossible to tell unless you've worn it for a while.

If you had a fitting and the bra has left these marks they will definitely take it back. IME they are happy to do so and there's no problem.

Exactly the same happened to me a few years ago, I had wirn the bra on holiday (bought especially) and they still gave me a refund.

scotsgirl23 · 26/05/2012 22:44

They are really good with taking things back and no, it shouldn't hurt that much. One small thought though - I can find even the most comfy of bras really awkward on very hot days, I think I expand a bit in the heat. It may be worth trying it again just in case that is a factor.

But if it still isn't right then go back and ask them to refit it.

You need to give it 3 ish days.
I started a thread a while ago saying that my bravissimo fit was not right etc etc.

A few days later everything fitted just fine.

Seriously 3/4 days is what you need.

Thanks everyone. I did wonder about the heat today too. Maybe I'll give it another go when it's a bit cooler. Great news that they seem reasonable about exchanges if there is a problem.

as poorbuthappy said, you also might need a few days. While it should not actually hurt, if you have been wearing 38 until now, of course 34 will feel tight at first.
