Just need something to take the 'edge off' my milk bottle legs Grin
Not after a deep tan at all, just want to get my legs out without blinding anyone!

Don't want to spend more than £15-20

Thanks!!

St Tropez self tan moisturiser.

I put some on this morning, dropped DD round her friend's house this afternoon and her Mum said 'Oh you look nice and brown!' Grin

I am normally very pale too.

Clinique body tan lotion. Light/medium. It's amazing amazing stuff and very natural. £17.50 a bottle.

ThatsDope · 26/05/2012 21:24

thank you both..how long for the clinique to develop? Have an important night on Fri so when would you suggest I start applying just to get a 'no tights required' look?

Rimmel Sunshimmer is so easy to apply (with a damp sponge is best), goes on brown and doesn't rub off.

Washes off when you want it to. Although it's make up, it doesn't look like it - just like a light tan.

ThatsDope · 26/05/2012 21:34

Cheers Zuzu - will check out in Boots

cake Is the clinique one brown tune in white box? Just had a look on ebay. On there for about 12quid

Clarins is good.

shopalot · 26/05/2012 21:39

I love st tropez everyday spray. I sprayed my he's yesterday morning, then before I went to bed. I have lovely natural-looking brown legs today.

ThatsDope · 26/05/2012 21:40

ooh, love most Clarins products. For some reason i have always bought cheap tanner which is a waste of time.

Which smells 'best'??!!

You can't go wrong with the Sunshimmer and if you do, just wash it off and start again Smile

I've been using it for over 30 years and love it!

kaumana · 26/05/2012 21:49

zuzu I have just "discovered" Rimmel sun shimmer it's blardy amazing stuff! It was on offer at Superdrug and thought wth I'll give it a shot as am getting bored of the twice weekly post fake tan zombie shuffle waiting for it to dry.

Seriously thinking of giving up my St Tropez gradual cream in favour of this. Am seriously impressed and at £3 a pop atm Shock

shopalot · 26/05/2012 21:52

Just read back my post pmsl, I sprayed my he's! That would be legs!! I don't like having to shower off the wash off ones before going to bed. We have white sheets and I forgot once!

kaumana · 26/05/2012 21:59

The sun shimmer does not transfer/rub off or easily wash off as I found out after not using gloves and ended up with brown hands which did not come off with soap or scrubbing. Luckily I remembered a tip from here of using toothpaste which got rid of it. Should have paid attention to the fact they sold a tube of remover right beside the sun shimmer for a reason.

MarianForrester · 26/05/2012 21:59

I agree about Sunshimmer for quick wash offable tan. I am pale, and mix with moisturiser to apply.

Famous Dave's fake tan for fair skin is also great for a stay on tan. Natural looking, and doesn't come off on clothes and sheets.

kaumana · 26/05/2012 22:01

I have the waterproof version of SS.

ThatsDope · 26/05/2012 22:03

£3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I second the Clinique one, although it stinks. It takes a good 4-6 hrs to develop properly. I usually do it before bed.

kaumana · 26/05/2012 22:08

Superdrug £2.99 and on 3 for 2 atm

cerealqueen · 26/05/2012 22:17

Sally Hansen airbrush legs comes in some nice paler shades and covers marks/veins and does not rub off.

madmomma · 26/05/2012 22:33

I have the sally hansen spray in the palest shade and I bloody love it. You just look like you have perfect skin on your legs. It was in home bargain years ago and when I tried it I bought every can they had. It doesn't make your legs look tanned, just pale but perfect - takes the glare off the white.

BCBG · 26/05/2012 22:37

Ecotan on Amazon - ethical and smells lovely. Fantastic product.

CarpeJugulum · 26/05/2012 22:39

If you want a more gradual change, I rate the Dove self tan.

Takes a few daily applications, but looks natural

wonderfultykes · 26/05/2012 22:41

Garner ambre Solarire no streaks bronzer (in fat bronze tube). Has tiny sparkles in, dries very quickly, (gel not cream) DOES NOT SMELL, brown so can see where youve put it and takes white off legs instantly. I'm a convert. Reduced to £9 ish in Tesco. Put on as little as you want for non- fake- tan effect. Fabulous

Anste · 26/05/2012 22:45

Clarins, it's brilliant. It cost £17.
