Petite Work suit

I'm in need of some new suits.

I'm petite at 5ft 1 and have a small frame, size 6-8. I have unusual proportions - fairly long legs for my height and a very short torso.

I often find that even with petite suits, the jacket is too long. I don't mind if the sleeves are too long as know a good tailor but it's more the body length of the jacket that bothers me. I like the jacket to look quite cropped as otherwise I feel a bit swamped.

I am looking for skirt suits or maybe a dress suit. Black, or grey. I'm a solicitor so it needs to be quite professional but I'm mid 20s, so want something quite modern!

Budget is up to £250 for the right suit but would be delighted if anyone can find anything cheaper. REally struggling to find anything that fits properly so I'm open minded!

My god are we twins! Your shape is exactly like mine and I have exactly the same issues!
To be honest I've tried everywhere for suits and the only place that seems to do some short line jackets in petite range is next, I do actually have ridiculously expensive tastes however no matter how much I try and spend no where else stocks petite suits that I can find! Précis petite etc are too old looking for me, (I'm late 20's) and although I'm an accountant I don't want to fit the stereotype too well!
Sorry I can't suggest anywhere else but honestly I've tried everywhere and size 6 petite workwear is such a rarity!

Any recommendations at all?

Have you tried Petite Affair? Think they may be doing end of season sale at the mo but worth keeping an eye on for petite work suits.
