Can someone recommend a decent mascara, i.e. one that doesn't clump, makes my lashes look fab but doesn't cost the earth?

I have tried so many budget ones before going back to Lancome. I have tried Maybelline (didn't do much for my lashes), Revlon (clumped), Benefit (smudged after 5 minutes) etc. Don't know if it's because I have sensitive eyes though - the Maybelline ones have loads of fans.

I have tried lots of cheap ones, all smudge or just don't do what they say. Lancôme Definicils is the best.

I like maybelline ones (if you can get them in the UK)

I've found the trick with mascara is to put it on then put a tissue over your finger and press 'upwards' on your lashes as it dries. Gives it a good curl and the often clumps come off on the tissue

I got this recenly from the Body Shop and it is the best mascara I have ever tried. I usually spend at least twice as much, but never again it is fantastic. Yesterday we went out for the day, I reapplied sun-cream, sweated and had watery hay fever eyes and it never moved, smudged, flaked. Very impressed.

I always find myself coming back to Max Factor Calorie 2000
