Summer wardrobe

What should I wear?

I'm 24, 5'7/8, I am a size 14 on top, can wear size 14/16 dresses and 16/18 trousers. I also have massive tits 34Fs.

I hate showing my arms and I have very chunky thighs, but don't mind showing from below my knee without tights/leggings.

I am fed up already of it being sunny and being stuck in tights or leggings and a cardigan. I look stupid and I feel hot and stupid. I am also relatively poor and can't spend lots of money on clothes.

Please help, before I die of best exhaustion or embarrassment.

I'd high five you, but I'm too hot Grin

Do you wear maxi dresses? I have a couple and I did wear them last summer, but I know MN hate them...

Ahh now I did try one but decided not to buy one. I was with 2 tall friends , who also tried them on. They looked great.
Think you should wear them if you want. I have looked at dresses but tooo scared to buy one. How daft is that for a woman in her 40's!! you have age on your side!

I have awful legs, river island have some nice knee length dresses that are very flattering and retro. They would show your arms though...

TwllBach · 25/05/2012 15:58

I always thought river island was for thin people. Do they go up to size 16? It's been so long since I felt motivated to go in to a shop like that! I stick to online shopping to avoid embarrassment, and have really only bought things from my catalogue (k and co) for about two years.

I don't know if this is any help
I went shopping today. The bird print faux wrap dresses (short sleeves) in sainsburys are now half price so £10. I got some slouch denim crops for about £15 and a cotton neutral knee length skirt £12 ish
Asda have some lovely gold and neutral smart flip flops for £6
Sainsburys also had good maxi dresses in but a teeny bit short on me (5'10)

DialsMavis · 25/05/2012 17:31

I don't usually go in there either. But recently I have got a couple of nice (well I think so anyway Grin) things in there. I am a 12 on the top and more like a 14 on the bottom & the 12 fits me perfectly Smile

TwllBach · 25/05/2012 18:12

Thanks bright that's very helpful Grin there arent any sainsburys here but I'll have a google and see what I can find!

Do you mean the 14 dresses fit you Mavis? I've already seen some lovely dresses on there

Also worth looking at bravissimo/pepperberry dresses on eBay, I picked one up for £15

DialsMavis · 25/05/2012 18:14

No a 14 would fit you I should think....
