Who has had their glossybox May box - SPOILERS

Mine was bloody awful this month. Yet another hair treatment and yet more eyelashes.

One more month and if it is still as bad I am stopping. Really disappointed yet last month was really good. Can't believe some people got HD brows this month.

Can't believe how bad this month's box was. The hair oil I got leaked all over the box too, adding insult to injury. I don't think the items added up to the amount the box cost either.
I got:
some fab smelling shower gel - new brand called 'Noble Isle'
2 perfumes (free sample size)
a sachet of face mask
horrible diamante fake eyelashes
a little bottle of an argan oil hair treatment

JolieBox is my new favourite.

Agree this month was a huge disappointment.

I loved carmine, I miss them. Even though they never refunded my final payment, the fuckers.

I've been consistently impressed with Jolie Box. They have samples from companies I've never heard of, and more interesting things too (in my opinion anyway). I only got 4 things this month from Jolie Box, but they were:

  • an organic rose moisturiser from Essential Care
  • a make up base from RMK
  • an eye patch thing from Talika
  • a China Glaze full size nail polish
I'd never heard of any of those brands, and I thought it was a nice box. You get an interesting little magazine with it too, and I've been in touch with their customer service twice - once because a moisturiser leaked, and once because an item was missing, and they immediately sent out replacements.

The June Jolie Box will be full of French brands. Sounds promising - as long as it isn't the French equivalent of Collection 2000!

Yes, I was really disappointed too with my GlossyBox this month. I'm glad I wasn't the only one. Last month's was really good and my mother was really keen to join up. I'm glad she didn't because she would have hated this month's even more than I did: false eyelashes and horrid perfume. Really? Husband has gone away for 7 months and I really needed a good one this month to cheer me up... I had to a bit of online shopping to compensate for the crapness of the box.
Has anyone had any luck selling falsies online? I have two sets now and I'm pretty certain I will never wear them!

I grumped about mine in one of the other threads, think it has been one of the worst boxes so far. The shower gel was best, if you want to smell of Cornish hedgerow, but is quite a maculine smell.

I might try another box...

My glossybox was really good this month! No "high end" products, but stuff I will use.

  1. Full size Schwartzkopf hair mousse
  2. Full size Garnier BB cream in a shade which doesn't make me oompa loompa! Grin
  3. Full size No-AD (?) aftersun (perfect timing!)
  4. max factor mascara
  5. eyeliner in a lovely kind of teal colour
  6. Make-up remover wipes

I've just cancelled my subscription. The June box has been the worst yet.

A tiny sample of bronzer which I don't use. (BM Beauty? £8.00 full size)
Dermablend sample kit, which is of no use to me at all.
A Glossybox blusher brush
Yves Rocher mascara sample
Perfume samples

Mrs Bovary. I got the same as you. Crap crap crap. Some people got HD tweezers too. I have an annual sub (2 boxes in) so I can't cancel but this is my 2nd poor box in 2 months. My April one was so fantastic. At least my cheap sub means it's only cost me £45 for the year. If I'd paid £12.95 for this crap I would be very cross.

I got the same as you Housewife and MrsBovary - I had wondered if we were getting crappy boxes as we subscribed really cheaply, and that the better stuff was going to people who were paying full whack for it each month.

I'm 2 or 3 months in to an annual subscription too. More fool me.

Well I pay full monthly amount and my box is also rubbish. I had the same as mrs bovary except my perfume sample had smashed.

I only joined two months ago and both boxes in my opinion haven't been worth the cost.

I got the same as mrsbovary except instead of the mascara I got dh brows tweezers.
